You will be required to provide the details such as: Full name, Email, Password, Device token, Specialization, Phone number, Bio, Medical license image, User image, Age, Address and Card details (optional). We also collect certain information about your device when you visit the website, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, location and some of the cookies that are installed on your device.

Additionally, we implement strict authentication protocols utilizing Jsonwebtoken, which serves as a safeguard against unauthorized access attempts. At some point, you might wish to restrict the use and collection of your personal data. You can achieve this by doing the following:

  • When you are filling the forms on the website, make sure to check if there is a box which you can leave unchecked, if you don't want to disclose your personal information.

If the request is successful, you will be provided with access to your data directly within the application.
  • Updating Information: To make changes to your profile information, you can navigate to the 'Account' section within the mobile application and tap on the edit icon. Here, you can modify relevant details such as your full name, phone number, specialization and bio. Upon submitting the changes, the application sends an edit profile request to the server. If the request is successful, the updated information is seamlessly reflected in the database.

We engage trusted third-party service providers to assist us in delivering our services effectively like Paystack and Nodemailer. The information you provide will be retained for as long as your account remains active. In the event that you deactivate your account, your data will be securely stored for a period of 30 days before being permanently deleted from our systems. When releasing a new version of the mobile app, we will include information about the updated privacy policy in the update description on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This ensures that you are informed before downloading or updating the app. In addition, once you open the app, a dialog box will pop up informing you of the changes to the privacy policy and prompting you to accept in order to continue using the Medtracka application.
